Cookie Policy
Which cookies this website sets, what they are for, and why you have not been asked to accept anything.
The short version
This website sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking cookies. It loads no third-party tracking scripts. That is why you have not seen a consent banner: there is nothing here to consent to.
If that ever changes, a banner will appear first and nothing non-essential will be set until you say yes.
Article 1 — What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It can be read again on your next visit, which is how a site remembers something about you. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job by other means, and this policy covers those too.
Cookies fall into two groups. Essential ones are needed for the site to work at all: without them a page cannot remember that you are logged in, or which language you chose. Non-essential ones do everything else, such as measuring audiences or building advertising profiles. European law lets a site set essential cookies without asking, and requires your consent before setting any of the others.
Article 2 — What this website actually sets
On an ordinary visit, reading pages as a visitor, this website sets no cookies at all.
A small number of essential cookies appear only in response to something you do:
| Cookie | When it appears | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language preference | You switch language | Remembers which of the three language versions to show you | Up to 1 year |
| Session and security cookies | You sign in to the site's administration area | Keeps you signed in and protects the form from abuse. These only ever apply to our own staff | Session, or up to 14 days |
| Form protection | You send a message through a contact form | Prevents the same form being submitted automatically over and over | Session |
All of these are essential: they do only what you asked for, they are not shared with anyone, and they build no profile of you. None of them requires consent.
Article 3 — What this website does not set
No Google Analytics. No advertising or remarketing pixels, from Google, Meta or anyone else. No social media tracking buttons. No audience measurement of any kind. No cookie that follows you to another website.
We are stating this as a fact about today, not as a promise about forever. If we start measuring audiences, this page will say so, and the measurement will not start until you have been asked.
Article 4 — The mobile app
The app does not use cookies. It stores a few things on your device so it can work: your sign-in token, your language, and drafts of what you were writing. It also holds a notification token so we can send you a push when a rental moves forward.
When something crashes, the app sends an error report containing technical details about the device and what it was doing. That report carries no advertising identifier and is not used to build a profile. Clearing the app's data or signing out removes what is stored locally.
Article 5 — Managing cookies yourself
Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block new ones. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking essential cookies on this site costs you only the language preference, which the site will then ask again on each visit.
Because we set no tracking cookies, there is nothing here for an ad blocker or a "do not track" setting to switch off.
Article 6 — Changes to this policy
If we add a cookie, we update this page before it starts being set, and we ask for consent whenever consent is required.
