Careers
We do not have a list of roles. We have an address.
We would rather read from people who put themselves forward than write adverts that look like everyone else’s.
What we are building.
Sharepact is a marketplace for renting from people and shops nearby: a camera for a weekend, an e-bike for a week, tools for an afternoon. The hard part is not the catalogue, it is trust. That is where most of our work goes.
You can see the point of this work without squinting. Every object rented is an object nobody has to make: drills spend most of their life in a drawer, bicycles in a cellar, camping gear in a garage after a single trip. Putting them back into circulation means fewer things made and fewer things thrown away, objects within reach of people who cannot buy them, and money for whoever had them sitting at home.
What is left to build is far bigger than what already exists. That is why this page stays open all year, even when we are not looking for one particular role.
How we work.
01
Flat hierarchy
There are no layers to climb and no approvals to wait for. Whoever does something decides it, and talks it through with the people it touches.
02
We ship often
We prefer something live this week to something perfect in two months. Then we fix it with what we learn.
03
We write
Decisions, research, product choices: written down. It helps whoever arrives next, and it forces thinking while you write.
04
Remote, within reason
Work from where you like, with enough overlap in the day to actually talk.
“Every object rented is an object nobody has to make.”
Where an application makes sense.
These are not vacancies. They are the areas where a good person would move something today. If yours is not listed and you think we need you, say so anyway.
Send us yours. We do read them.
Tell us in a few lines what you are good at and what interests you about this problem. A portfolio, a profile or a project beats a cover letter.
We reply to every application, including the ones we turn down. We use what you send only for hiring and we keep it for twelve months.
Would you rathersend an email?
That works too. Attach your CV and tell us where you are writing from.
